SAD NEWS!!! Heavy rains that lasted for about 10hrs kill baby,renders over 250 people homeless in Magami-maitarko village in Gusau Zamfara !!!

One of the affected persons, Malam Adamu Sarkin-Fawa, whose
daughter died, said in Magami village on Friday that the incident
occurred on Wednesday.
According to Malam Adamu, farm produce, the value of which had yet
to be determined, were destroyed in the rain that lasted for about
10hrs.
He said that the victims are currently staying with unaffected folks
while those injured are receiving medical attention at various clinics.
Malam Adamu, appealed to the government to provide assistance to
the victims to give them succor .
Alhaji Atiku Maradun, the Secretary of the state’s Emergency
Management Agency (ZEMA), confirmed the incident.
Alhaji Maradun said that the agency would soon embark on an
assessment tour of the affected areas to determine the extent of the
destruction as well as measures to assist the victims.
